Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Liupakka Oy collects in the Liupakka Store, why we collect it and what rights you have. We collect only what we need, and we never sell your data.

02What we collect and why

Orders

Name, email, billing address, order contents, order history and payment status. For physical products also the shipping address and phone number. Card and other payment details are handled by Squarespace Payments and Stripe, and we never see your full card number. Why: to deliver your order, handle returns and complaints, and keep the accounting records required by law. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

Customer account

If you create an account: name, email, password (stored encrypted by Squarespace), saved addresses and order history. Legal basis: contract. You can delete the account at any time by contacting us.

Contact form and email

Name, email and your message. Why: to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or steps before a contract.

Audi V8 headlight seal giveaway

Name, email and the consents you gave when entering. Why: to run the draw, contact the winner, and send the one notification you agreed to when the Audi V8 products go on sale. We send other marketing only to participants who separately agreed to receive it. Legal basis: your participation in the giveaway and your consent.

Newsletter and free presets

Your email address, the time you signed up and confirmed, the form and language you used (English or Finnish) and your consent. You sign up on our homepage by ticking the consent box. We then send you a confirmation email, and the download link for the free presets (3 Lightroom presets and 3 video LUTs) is in that email. Why: to send you the free presets and our newsletter about new releases and offers, a few times a month at most. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you do not confirm the subscription, we do not send you newsletters. Legal basis: consent.

Website use

IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and how you arrived at the site. Why: to keep the site working and secure, and with your consent to understand how the site is used. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security and essential functions) and consent (analytics).

03Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

  • Squarespace: website, store, customer accounts, order emails, site analytics and the newsletter (Squarespace Email Campaigns)
  • Google (reCAPTCHA): spam protection on the newsletter sign up form
  • Stripe: payment processing for Squarespace Payments
  • Google (YouTube): video embeds on the homepage, the video presets pages and the Lightroom presets pages
  • Delivery companies: name, address, phone and email needed to deliver a physical product
  • Accounting service: order and payment information for bookkeeping

We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.

04Transfers outside the EU

Squarespace, Stripe and Google (YouTube and reCAPTCHA) may process data in the United States. The transfers are protected by the EU and US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

05How long we keep data

  • Order and accounting records: 6 years from the end of the financial year, as required by the Finnish Accounting Act
  • Customer account: until you ask us to delete it
  • Customer service messages: as long as needed to handle the matter, at most 2 years
  • Giveaway data: deleted after the draw and the launch notification have been completed, unless you agreed to receive marketing
  • Newsletter and marketing: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. Sign ups that are never confirmed are removed from the list.

06Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a machine readable format. When processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. To use your rights, email Store@liupakka.com. We will answer within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi) or with the data protection authority in your own country.

07Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser.

  • Essential cookies keep the cart, checkout, login and security working. They are always on because the store cannot work without them.
  • Analytics cookies (Squarespace Analytics) tell us how the site is used. We use them only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. Your language choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the store remembers it.

YouTube videos

Our homepage, the video presets pages and the Lightroom presets pages show videos from our YouTube channel. They are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set advertising cookies. The short preview video at the top of the homepage and the video presets pages starts automatically without sound. All other videos load from YouTube only when you press play. When a video loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and technical browser information, and YouTube may save data in your browser's local storage to play the video. Google is responsible for this processing under its own privacy policy. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing how our products work.

08Security

The site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Payments are handled by Stripe, which meets the PCI DSS security standard. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it for their work.

09Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page. We do not use automated decision making or profiling.
